苗栗縣政府、慈濟基金會共同主辦的第三屆「慈濟x PaGamO縣市盃環保防災勇士PK賽」二十七日登場，全縣一四六名從四十九所小學脫穎而出的選手，角逐十位環保防災小勇士名額，將代表苗栗縣晉級四月的全國賽事。副縣長鄧桂菊率環保、消防、衛生和教育等主管，主持開幕儀式、為參賽選手們加油打氣，期許環保防災小尖兵，隨時將環境教育、防災觀念落實在日常生活當中，為愛護地球奉獻心力。
近年來全球正面臨氣候變遷與極端氣候的挑戰，苗栗縣政府致力扎根環保、防災觀念，偕同慈濟基金會、PaGamO幫你優公司，二十七日在苗栗慈濟聯絡處共同舉辦第三屆「苗栗縣縣市盃環保防災勇士PK賽」。
副縣長鄧桂菊率環保局副局長沈鳳臺、消防局副局長黃德興、教育處副處長徐建男、衛生局科長陳淑珠等人，偕同慈濟基金會執行長辦公室主任王運敬，連袂為競賽揭幕、幫選手加油打氣。
